| How do I get listed on the Map? | Are you a Sisters, Oregon art-related business, artist, or organization? If so scroll down to the bottom and look for the Registration / Update button. |
| Do I need to download an app? | No, you do not. The desktop version is browser-based. You have an option to download an app on the mobile version, but it is not required. |
| Categories | Categories refer to how you can organize and filter the information displayed on the map. By default, all categories are displayed. You can search by category and select only the categories you wish. On the desktop version, the categories are displayed at the top of the map. On the mobile version, select "search categories" to display category options. |
| Category Search | On the desktop version, select one or more categories to display only those locations within the category. On the mobile version, select "Search by Category" to narrow your choices. For example, if you want to see only the Public Art Installations, then choose that option. |
| Category Icons | Each category has a unique map icon that, in theory, represents the category. For example, in the Live Music Category, the icon is a guitar, and for Author Reads, a book. |
| Locations | Individual locations on the map can contain enriched, detailed information, including titles, descriptions, photos, and links. This adds context and makes each location more informative. As we build out The Map, each location will have robust location-specific information. |
| Locations: More Information | Each location on The Map has a "More Information" tag. Click on it and the location's website will open in a new tab. |
| Scrolling | Scrolling in The Map can be a key part of interacting with and experiencing the content and notes. Here are some tips to optimize your experience. 1) For desktop, use the zoom in/out buttons or your mouse scroll for quick adjustments. 2) On mobile, use two fingers to scroll in and out. 3) If location icons are on top of each other, scroll in and also reduce the number of categories you are viewing. |
| Location Information is missing | We are waiting for details from the location owner. Stay tuned, and we will update as soon as we receive the details. |
| Get Walking or Driving Directions | Choose a location and select "Get Directions." Google Maps opens in a new tab, and walking directions are the default mode of transportation. |
| Offers | Select Offers, and the locations with current offerings will be displayed. |
